Quilts

OGH was open Saturday and Sunday as part of the History Festival that is taking place in SA right now.  To say we were slammed was an understatement.  In excess of 100 visitors both days.  So successful, and so inspiring really.  No-one complained and everyone was so complimentary about our little museum. It really is a jewel.

This room is the children's bedroom, and the most notable items are the quilts.

For me the most poignant is the quilt on the bed; it's a family history quilt.  Every piece of fabric taken from the left overs of a families' life. and beautifully hand sewn.
