SUNY College at Fredonia

I had a VIP tour of my alma mater, the State University of New York College at Fredonia, today. It was the first time I've been back on campus since I finished my Master's degree in 1980.
I've established a scholarship in my name for seniors majoring in elementary, secondary or music education. It is now fully endowed and will be distributing its first scholarship in the Fall of 2013.
This is a picture of the administration building, Maytum Hall, where I worked as a Graduate Assistant.
The Clock Tower was built to commemorate the 175th Anniversary of the founding of the school and to serve as a focal point of the campus.
I wouldn't have been able to negotiate around the campus without the aid of Karen, who works with the College Foundation. We had a great time tooling around campus, chasing down students in an electric cart.
So many things have changed. I used to go to every soccer game and sit in the bleachers. Now there is an entire stadium. There is a spanking new natatorium and gorgeous performance hall. A bio-sciences research building is under construction - and it is enormous.
I had a great time there. It was an awesome week of memories for me. My last full day in Western New York State. A week I'll cherish for a long time.
