The Ubiquitous Grackle

This is Sunday's Blip, posted a day late.  We spent a quiet day relaxing and catching up after the whilrlwind of the last 4 days.  I had such a great time with so many wonderful friends!  Can't wait until we all meet again!

One thing we really had to do today was laundry after being gone from home for 10 days already.  Our campground has laundry facilities so we put our clothes in and relaxed on the deck while we waited.  I liked the way this Great-tailed Grackle looked sunning himself on the railing so I thought he should be a Blipstar today.  Soon he hopped off the railing into the shallow end of the swimming pool and had a little bath.  You can see that in the extra.

I am grateful that the wind is blowing toward the northwest, the direction of San Antonio, where we are heading tomorrow.  It's been blowing hard all day and I'm a little nervous about how it will effect our drive.  If it stays behind us, it will be fine...we may even get decent gas mileage for a change! :-)
