Ciao Bordighera

Perfect weather conditions in Nice promised a smooth flight home. Heavy rain during the night had left the air fresh but highly perfumed. However things changed as we approached Heathrow and high winds left us circling for about 15 minutes. As the pilot descended to land in London gusts buffeted our plane and just before touchdown - whoosh, we were suddenly ascending and circling again. Lots of adrenaline! Second attempt proved successful and the passengers cheered and clapped.
Rachel and Finn met us at Aberdeen and drove two tired but jolly walkers home in splendid sunshine.
