Wild Day

It hasn’t stopped pouring all day and the winds have been very high. It’s been miserable all day :(
This greeted us, about 5m from the entrance to our driveway today, so we had to make a bit of a detour.
I picked katy up from her D of E expedition - soaked to the skin, muddy from head to toe but in great spirits after 3 days of hiking with a bloody enormous rucksack and 2 nights of camping in the most hideous weather. I’m so proud of her. She’s a strong, determined, young woman :)
