Birdy bath

On 31st July, before the bottom fell out my world, I started a three day pottery course, where I made this little fellow. A bird bath for tiny birds. Now that I'm trying to pick up the pieces, I am back to my weekly pottery class, and I've given him some colour. The next time you'll see him, he'll have been fired again, so will have changed colour once more.

Otherwise I had a strange sort of day today. Had to see my doctor first thing, and met our ex-neighbour and her sweet wee boy in the waiting room. That was nice. I hadn't seen her since Ken's funeral.

Then a man came round to try and sell be some sort of 'air-to-air inverter' heating system. It turned out he was a also widower, having lost his wife five years ago, and having discovered my situation, spent ages trying to give me hope for the future and left refusing to sell me something that really I shouldn't be buying!! That was weird. But probably quite uplifting really.
