Pancakes and a great walk up The Hill this morning with The House Guest. He'd never been up there before, we had a real nice time.

He went off somewhere else in the afternoon, so I went out on the bike for 100km in East Lothian. It was a pretty quick ride with a cafe stop chucked in as well - I've got to be happy with that! The cafe in question gives you a playing card 'thing' for your table number. Me, a joker, a flat white, carrot cake, sunshine. Real nice.

And then my family returned from their weekend away just after I got home. They were pleased to see me, obviously, but I have to admit that the cat got star billing ;-)
