A leap of faith

The boy had his belated birthday party today. He confidently threw himself off treetop platforms while laughing and joking with his 3 best mates. Nothing that unusual for an 11 year old boy, but something I hardly dared hope for whilst I was consoling my anxious son 6 months ago when I chose to uproot us all and move away for a much needed fresh start. I hoped it was for the best. Days like today confirm it was and is.
