Start of the JW1x A-final

After yesterday's great race day in the double, today was the day of the single scull races... Abbie and Maïté raced each other in the heats (see extra) at the end of the morning. To our astonishment (and pride) Abbie rowed her heart out and actually qualified for the A-final of the junior women single scull (JW1x). Abbie, being only a 2nd year and lightweight competitor, rowed with gusto against heavier and more experienced competitors and came 5th in the final - taking almost another 10 sec of the time she set in the heats.
