Looking back

By my reckoning, this is Blip number 2190 (six years).  To commemorate the day that we found out Nikki was pregnant, I thought I'd pose the children with an image of my very first Blip.

A lot has happened in these last six years, and I'm delighted to have archived it all here for future posterity.  Hopefully these guys will enjoy looking back and seeing how they developed over the years.

When I started, I was simply looking for an project to enhance my photography skills.  I've learnt a great deal about the medium but the quality of my shots have often been substituted for a more meaningful snapshot.  In all honesty, I often have to brush the dust off my DSLR these days!

Looking back, we've seen the birth of our wee man and our little lady.  I recently turned the Blip private but I've opened it up again for the next week or so in order to share the special occasion.

I always enjoy reading the comments from people, especially those that return often, and I'm sorry for not reciprocating as much as I'd like.  I'm afraid my job (just returned from San Diego tonight!) and these guys monopolise far too much of time.

I've no idea how long I'll keep doing this, but here's to the next year!
