Let sleeping hogs lie
Apparently not
This hedgehog was asleep on our lawn at 10 am when we set out for yesterday's adventure.
It was still there 8 hours later and various sources encouraged me to take it to a rescue centre, which I did.
(But not before taking a photo!)
My theory, supported by the curatrix of the Iford Meadow Hedgehogs Rescue unit is that the sudden cold snap after the glorious weather we had, has confused the beast and it is going back into semi hibernation.
She had many more in the same state.
If it is well enough to be released again, I will be contacted as the preferred route is back to where it came from.
