Anthurium bud

I bought a dwarf anthurium eighteen months ago.
Why it's never flowered since, I really do not know,
But tiny buds and shiny leaves keep opening,
So I shall keep on watering ... and hoping.

I'm wondering if this tiny scarlet bud - that appeared days and days ago - will turn out to be a flower, or whether it's another leaf. Don't remember previous leaf buds being red, so I'm quietly hopeful.
