Wet!!

Not a very good photo but it has been my day.  Huge amount of rain today, 51mm falling in just an hour, and 1.5 x the normal April rainfall in just 36 hours.   Lots of flooding and a State of Emergency declared on the other side of town with people needing to be evacuated after a creek broke its banks The extra shows it returned to normal (approx 7ft lower)  after the rain had eased.  It appears excess storm water from a new subdivision further up the hill is flowing into 'our' creek. The Council are going to be inundated with complaints. It is really quite scary to see the force the water was rushing by at.
