Tulips (wet)
Just as Friday was a fairly typical Friday, so was Saturday with a twist in the tail, a nice twist though. Walked into town for coffee and shopping in the morning as is our custom. I went to the allotment in the afternoon to dig yet more of the plot. On the last knockings now. Two or three more sessions should see it finished.
In the evening we went to a musical evening organised by the Friends of St Peter's Church in Boughton Monchelsea. A collection of folk and other styles of music organised by one of our friends and featuring many people who I see at the Stilebridge Folk Club. It was a very entertaining evening compared by the Vicar who told a string of awful "Tim Vine" style one-liner jokes (but not in the same class) along with a few cracking tales too.
One of the acts was a Show of Hands tribute band called Tray of Flans who gave a good performance. Of course, there was a raffle, and here's the twist - we won one of the main prizes - a meal for two at the aforementioned Stilebridge Inn.
