Waxeye (silvereye)

S spotted this wee chap shivering on the lawn when I got home this afternoon.  He let me get very close before he fluttered off.  I assume it was the cold affecting him so I put some fat and seed out.  

I looked out half an hour later and there were probably a dozen of them squabbling over it.  Tried to photograph them but they took off each time I stepped outside.

Well, I've just back blipped a week.  There was a mountain of work to get through after being away for most of the previous three weeks.

I'm not caught up by any means but I've managed to do enough that it's not going to be such a nightmare when the kids start back at school tomorrow.
