Old dog, new tricks

During the week, a colleague at work who is older than me, started using a computer for the 1st time. I sent an email out to the whole church family and she was one of the first to respond.

We laughed about old dogs and new tricks - no malice despite the words. :-)

My younger sister had never used google or google maps until today, when she went off to visit our father. Stunned that it was a 1st for her, aged nearly 50..

I got some PBs running this morning - new tricks ...

Dot.T showed me how to poach an egg ‘Welsh boy’ style (!) and what a fabulous new trick that is.

And I did some gardening. Nothing new there for me but finally my chickens have learnt the new trick of eating snails. Up ‘til now, they’ve just stared at them.

And a meal out with our Turkish friend Ali and a friend of his from Azerbaijan - I’ve met quite a few folk from Azerbaijan - but they’ve all been from the side of privilege so it’s hard to grasp what life is really like.
