The night before Hallowe'en and it's carving-pumpkin-time.

Thank goodness for pumpkins!

At least this is one Hallowe'en import from across the Atlantic that is an improvement on our own traditions.

It'll always be 'guising' not 'trick or treating' - but I'm not sorry to say tata to 'howking oot a neep' with a big spoon!

Our kids can now prepare their own lanterns and this one is my daughter's creation. At least this year, it's not vomiting out its innards onto the fireplace, as she created last time round!
