Time Machine
A visit to the Concrete Dreams event at the South Bank in London.
Our first stop was the Oxo Tower and an exhibition of 35mm black and white photos by photographer Steve Holllngshead of people in Loncon. Entitled 1001 days in London. Worth a visit.
My blip is of Time Machine and is exhibited in the Hayward Gallery Heni Project Space. It is a computer animated fox by Ann Lislegaard quoting from HG Wells Time Machine (1895).. The Hayward Gallery was opened in 1968 and has been closed for two years for refurbishment along with the Queen Elizabeth Hall and Purcell Room. These are built in the Brutalist style of architecture and just reopened to the public.
After a good lunch at Cote Brasserie by the Royal Festival Hall we
participated in some Indian dancing at the Queen Elizabeth Hall. Met with some lovely people and proud that we Iive in a wonderful diverse society.
