Ranunculus

These seem to be the plant of the season locally, so I bought a few plants, according to wiki they are a member of the buttercup family but the flowers are much more complex, I’ve got red, yellow and white varieties, loving them so far. the only problem is that Poppy also seems to love them and pulls them up as quick as I plant them!
Unfortunately they are apparently poisonous and likely to cause nasty blisters (I didn’t know this when I bought them) wiki advises that the acrid taste usually puts ‘livestock’ off eating them so ............. fingers crossed!
