Lambs and daffodils are everywhere round Moffat, but we spent most of the day in the Buccleuch Hotel at an excellent seminar on crime writing. Two authors kept the tension up and the ideas flowing; a passionate Professor of Pathology kept our feet planted in reality.

We of course visited the excellent butchers, I am so glad we didn’t buy any lamb.
