Artist in residence again
Geoff is busy in the cellar printing the plates for the Sisters of Magdalen. The launch is due in November, at least locally.
The cold has really set in and the sitting room is back to winter mode. I just need to order some wood for the fire now. The boys were picked up at lunch time and we made sandwiches on the beach wall in the drizzle. There is a lot of flotsam and jetsam on the beach, so they were very happy. And we had coffee in the dry, so all well there.
There was a beautiful old cruiser in the Port and I slightly regretted not getting a closer look. Funnel and all. Now that's my type of gin palace if it has to have a motor. I'll see if I can find who she was.
Later the day drifted into a very pleasant afternoon of rest until the boys descended for much homework and catching up, all relieved by a visit to the freezer and a gloriously mushy lamb stew.
Tomorrow and onwards gets complicated in terms of who is where doing what, but i should end up with a few quiet hours. I'm hoping to meet up with blipper NLN if my Blackberry plays along. It has a ghost in the machine...
Big surprise, in that the lovely boat was Bystander, built only in 2006, and is serving as a support boat for Velsheda. Damn, those Dutch have style...
