Another Tick

We made it to Leicester in time to book into our hotel and then catch the bus into Leicester city centre.

Leicester Cathedral is smaller than some parish churches and nestled on the edge of the shopping precincts.
Although it’s small it is packed full of history, Clare and I enjoyed a personal tour, just the two of us with one of the church clergy, informative and fun it lasted over ninety minutes but seemed much shorter.

Of course the highlight is the tomb of King Richard III, plain but still captivating and the story behind the discovery of his body fascinating.

We didn’t make the Richard III Visitor Centre but that’s our only port of call tomorrow.

Back on the bus to the hotel for an evening meal and early night.
