Juvenile Exposure

Saatchi Gallery

This morning we visited the Saatchi gallery in the Duke of York Square, Chelsea. It is a contemporary art gallery and at the moment there is a superb exhibition of the black iconic CHANEL jacket by the famous photographer Karl Lagerfeld. There are over 113 photographs, modelled by a range of models, actors, singers and writers, all friends of Karl. Each photograph depicts the personality adapting the garment to reflect their own inimitable style. for example, Lily Allen wears a black cape, a jacket draped around model Stella Tennant, or even transformed into a vest on model Edie Campbell. The photographs are utterly stunning and are all completely unique.
There was another exhibition which I have decided to Blip. This amazing installation is by Richard Wilson who is one of Britain's most celebrated sculptors. He is known for his interventions in architectural space which draw heavily for their inspiration from the worlds of engineering and construction and are characterised by concerns with size and structural daring.
This at first looks like any normal room with an unbelievably shiny floor except that it is a huge vat of oil with a walkway going through the middle. It's extraordinary how this piece would have been out together.
