The Tour de Yorkshire 1

As you may have read in an earlier blip The Tour de Yorkshire is coming through our village on Friday the 4th May. It is passing right by the bottom of our Close. The shops are starting to decorate their windows in blue and yellow and all the flower displays are in blue and yellow, so I thought I would feature a different shop each day and hopefully get a good blip of the riders on the 4th.  Today is the undertakers window, who I feel have made a great effort

At the moment all the pot holes are being filled (not sure what they are doing about the speed bumps) and there is a bit of disquiet because on the road through the village there will be no parking from midnight till 6pm on the 4th and those who usually park on it are complaining, plus the road will be closed from 10.15am till 1pm  to allow the ladies race through and from 4pm to 6.30pm to let the mens race through, I just hope they let the kids out of school early as the road is  very busy between 3.45 and 4.30 with them being picked up. Plus no busses either so the schools from further afield who have kids who live here and come home by bus, will have to rearrange transport, as its the main road in and out.
