Purple tulips symbolize dignity, pride, success, devotion and love.  Tulips originated in Persia and Turkey, many centuries ago, playing a significant role in art and culture of the time, also worn in turbans. Europeans mistakenly named the flower tulip, which comes from the Persian word meaning turban. My school friend who visited yesterday, brought these lovely flowers as a gift.
