THE CURSE OF PLASTIC & THE DELIGHTS OF NATURE

Sitting on a nest
Of twigs cardboard and plastic
A majestic swan

Why should she suffer
Through the thoughtlessness of those
Who should know better?

Others suffer too
Because many do not care
A very sad world!

But life does go on
Greylag geese have given birth
Goslings paddle fast!

Swans look out for mates
The season starts once more
Cygnets on the way?

Cowslips and bluebells
White Dead Nettle and Ragwort
Glorious colours

The birds were singing
The sun was shining on us
A wonderful day

Nature delights us
With so many different things
We are truly blessed.
