A autumn "roadie"

Funny how a day pans out......we had sat down for a coffee at around 10.30am.   Chatting and a quick decision was made to head to the Waitaki Valley to suss out the autumn colours.  
I whipped up a couple of sandwiches and filled the thermos and we were on the road by 11 am.
Our wee trip turned into bigger than expected and we never got home until nearly 7 pm.  
Some 250 odd images, and I've selected a variety of our day (extra), and such an enjoyable day it was.
Stinking hot up around Twizel area, but we weren't complaining.
