Last race meeting of the season

The runners and riders of the last race of the season just came into view, after passing the winning post, as I passed the racecourse this afternoon.

The weather was kind for this last meet, the sun coming out mid morning and almost lasting until the final race, but now the sun has gone and its feels bitterly cold as the racegoers and horseboxes stream out of the gates.

No more racing here until Easter 2013 now !!!
