I don't give a fig!

Well, eleven and a half figs actually. We have friends for a meal tonight and this dish (which seems to be mainly figs and sherry) is the pud. Tam and Jim kindly gave me a cookery book by Diana Henry called 'Cook Simple'. It was a very well chosen present as it is full of interesting recipes but lives up (or down?) to its name!
