A Messy Job

All the building/garden/house improvements have now been completed and our lovely team of workmen have departed.  Delighted with all they have done (even if I didn't think some of it was necessary!)

They did actually part-clean the paving slabs and the patio by washing it with a chemical that cleans moss etc, but that caused a near panic last night for us.  Simba had somehow got covered in the stuff (we think he must have rolled in it although it smells disgusting) and we had to give him his first ever bath and shower using baby shampoo to try to get rid of the smell.  

Wish I could have let him go to take a picture, as he looked like a drowned rat cat:-)  We couldn't get him fully dry and worried all night that it might be harmful to animals, but he was right as rain this morning and had obviously licked himself clean and dry!!  Apparently the stuff is only harmful to moss!

Just to get rid of the awful smell, TJ has power washed the paving slabs and patio, but it might take a while before the pong goes completely!
