Peace by the sea

Stopped on my way back home today to have my picnic lunch by the Kilninver burial ground. Although it's immediately below the A816 you wouldn't know it was there unless you did! If you know what I mean!

Go down the old piece of road below though and you're in a different world. There's a lovely view across Loch Feochan to the mountains of Mull, cloudy today though and hidden by the tree. The electricity board has rather insensitively built a substation right next door, but you don't have to look at that.

There's a single war grave here - a local lad, Private J. McInnes, who died in France in April 1918. A tiny burial ground, but a lovely spot. I've added an extra of two of the crosses.
