Rack and Ruin

This is a derelict farmhouse I pass each day on my walk. It's sad to see such a lovely house and barn deteriorate as this has but the owner is merely hanging onto the land, waiting for prices to go up before selling. It's not a sign of the current situation in the farming environment - this house has been falling into disrepair for over a decade now, since the last of the two brothers that owned it died. The good thing about it though is that the land (and probably the house too) has become a wonderful haven for wildlife and I've scared the odd deer and fox in my walks around it.
