Winter Gardens

Guided tour round Bordighera by the lovely Valentina, These huge tree roots are on an old Magnolia tree in gardens created by the German botanist Ludwig Winter. All through the town our senses were assailed by many intense and heady perfumes from the beautiful flora. Laden orange and lemon trees abounded.
Lunch at a restaurant/bar on the beach, a bit of reading and a wander to the shops completed our activities. First walk tomorrow so an early start.
