Just in case anybody read the last few posts and thought my trip was me swanning around in idyllic Chinese countryside, here is the view today from my Chengdu hotel room. We are here to start the next phase of the project surveys by training some research assistants. We spent the day trying to find a training venue at the last minute, and we settled on a screening room in a hipster private cinema. Mainly because it was cheapest and I think it will be fun. Not sure what the government partners will think.
