A Morning's Work.

This customer had a tree cut down many years ago and the stump was not removed but allowed to rot away leaving quite a large hollow. Ever since I've worked for them they have spoken about filling the hollow and then putting the Acer, which has been in a large pot, into a larger container. A year ago I was told that he had found an old galvanised tank which would be suitable. Today I turned up and everything was ready, the tank, a pile of flints for drainage and a pile of soil to fill the hole plus the tank and a number of bags of compost. 3 hours of hard labour had the hollow filled and the Acer planted, all that need to happen now is the area to be grass seeded. They were very pleased with the results.

When I got home a new front door greeted me together with the remaining windows which are in situ and just need making good, it all looks very smart and is very quiet inside, also now draught free!
