Sacred
These two pieces of cloth are very special to me. The one on the left is my baby blanket, gifted to me by my grandfather's wife while I was less than a year old. It has little blotchy shapes on it that used to be multi-colored dinosaurs with afros. And it also used to be hot pink. I kid you not. The one on the right is my tallit, or prayer shawl, that I wear when I go to synagogue. My grandfather bought it for me and was supposed to present it to me on the day of my Bat Mitzvah, the Jewish coming of age ceremony. But, he was late to the ceremony, so my mom presented it instead. We had a little mock-presenting afterward, so we could have pictures of my grandfather having the high honor.
No killing-the-little-man games in Chemistry today, instead we three girls shunned G because...I forget the reason now, but it was fun while it lasted.
I had an interesting conversation about HDR photos with my Hebrew teacher, R, last night. She's really in to photography, and even has a Flickr account. And this whole time she's been claiming to have technology illiteracy. Who knew?
