helix park

I have blipped these before but I never tire of seeing the Kelpies in Helix Park against a moody sky.  The rain held off until we have walked all around the park and scoffed a couple of bratwurst and coffees.  the extra is Mrs Swan sitting on her nest in the reeds at the pond.  when I used to work in Falkirk, there was always a nesting swan in the reeds beside the football stadium, followed by up to a dozen signets in a line doing their best to ignore all the traffic zooming past.  There was no sign of the Swan family at the stadium, so I'm pretty sure this is the same pair of swans, they have just moved to a slightly more upmarket area :-))
