They're here!

An active morning. A 4 mile plus walk at 8.00am took us through Cottingley Woods and across the golf course at Beckfoot. Instead of returning up the Lane to the St Ives Estate and Low Park we crossed the bridge and admired the allotments before crossing Myrtle Park and entering Mouse Woods. Straight away we were surrounded by wild flowers.
Wood Anemones opening with the sun and Wild Garlic on the point of opening. You could just smell them and of course we could see the lovely Bluebells, more than seen yesterday in Goit Stock probably because they were more open to the sun.

Crossing Low Park on our way home we were surprised to see Cow slips in flower. We skirted the Belties (Belted Galloway cattle) as they had a very new calf amongst them.

This little clump of Bluebells were picked out by the sun just as we entered the St Ives woods. A super walk and there are lots more Bluebells to come.

Later Chris and I walked along the canal to the Five Rise Locks in Bingley and had a coffee in the cafe at the top. There were barges going through so it was interesting. We then walked along the canal into the town to get a bit of shopping returning to the car just as it came on to rain.
A good morning. Happy to stay in now.
