PHAEDIREAN 1

Today was prep day for closing day at the sailing club - it being ANZAC day in NZ tomorrow.   'Phaedirean' is the latest in the fleet and for those Sailing techo's it's a Welsford designed " Janet " I know its a 'Janet' as it is only 840 on the beam as opposed to the 'Janette' at 870 on the beam. I'm not sure why they were named Janet and Janette but maybe John Welsford the designer had a couple of daughters so named - or family mambers anyway.  She's a lovely boat and I have been sailing her a bit under canvased with the 54sq ft 'Shelback' rig. Its well balanced and looks good under that rig but I'm Thinking she may go better with the 70Sqft bermuda rig - Tomorrow will tell. Sorry blippers for the techo stuff but there are others on Facebook who may be interested.
