Bravo, bravo

La Boheme...no matter how many times I watch this opera..it gets me every time.
David Vicks production from Bologna streamed to our local cinema, set it contemporaneously, with drugs and a modern wasting death of aids. Something of the immeadiacy of youth expressed in this telling made things more breathless than usual. Mimì here takes a bow, 3mins earlier she’d just convincingly died, Ridolfo, Marcelo, Musetta, all of us were devasted. It was a welcome relief to applaud the artist. Mariangela Sicilia as Mimì made it refreshingly her own. Bravo
