Monday: Pleione Orchid

A mad morning of sorting out plants in pots in the garden, many have not survived the winter and their compost will be recycled! Wind picked up late morning, then it became a race against the weather when the heavy rain arrived early afternoon, perfect for watering the pots which had dried out in the wind.
Had a nice surprise when I spotted buds on the outdoor orchid, Pleione, I bought it at a table top sale a few years ago and it's been nibbled ... fingers crossed that the flowers will open, I'll take a photo if I remember!
Toad Update: our greenhouse toad is alive and well having spent the winter in the large compost bin, I'll take a photo if it's still there :-))
