Put to good use

Our library is housed in the old Victorian school building. When a new school was built the council planned to convert this lovely little gem into housing. At the time our library was in a small inadequate hut, so the community campaigned to take over the school and won. Half the building was given over to the library and traces of its Victorian heritage can be seen in the windows and roof timbers. I was there today just as the school broke up and there were lots of little ones enjoying the library.
I was there today to get books for us both. I get a large pile and while we work our way through them I renew them on line.
