Northumberlandia

We left Alnwick this morning and decided to visit Northumberlandia.

Also known as 'The Lady of the North'  this is a huge human landform sculpture of a reclining lady. Made of 1.5 million tonnes of rock, clay and soil, she is 100 feet high and a quarter of a mile long. You can walk up to the top of her forehead but as the wind was almost strong enough to knock us off our feet we decided to leave that for another day.
