The first match

Here is the new and somewhat diminutive 12 year old umpire at his first Under 19s match. The chap next to him was his mentor, which seemed like a good arrangement.

They towered over him, but did what he said.

At the end of the match, after all that running backwards and forwards, he was knackered but happy.

My extra is the scarf pinned out and drying on a boogie board whilst I attend the footie match.
