Cowslips (primula veris)

Growing in profusion on our lawn!  Maybe I should make some cowslip wine, or, Cowslip tea which is apparently soothing for insomnia, headaches and nervous tension.  It is so good to see this plant returning to the countryside, mostly on the banks of roadsides.  I was so pleased to see we have some spreading into the paddock below our house.  They do cross breed sometimes with the primrose and primula resulting in larger flower heads or coloured petals.
