Alf's Favourite

What a very bizarre day. We had booked to go and see Disney on Ice a while back and Alf was so excited although I am not sure if it was more about seeing Ted than the actual show itself. I was busy getting us ready to go meet Jess, Lucy and Ted when I received a phonecall from my cousin to tell me that my Uncle had passed away suddenly. He was ill but we weren't expecting this so it came as a massive shock. The rest of the day was a bit on autopilot. We met up with my Dad in the afternoon to watch the Grand National but it was a subdued afternoon. Alf had a lovely day and was oblivious. I think children have this beautiful ability to take your mind off things. Alf was so excited to have seen Mater and McQueen but I think the highlight was definitely seeing Ted.
