Power walking!
It was a lovely evening for my third power walk with Andrea (pictured). This was almost an hour with the first half uphill so we logged 7000 steps and a good 345 calories.
A few weeks back someone shared a newspaper article about a woman who, on turning 50, found herself overweight, with little flexibility or strength and lots of aches and pains. She started doing 30 min you tube yoga videos and transformed her fitness and flexibility to the point that she felt confident enough to join a class. I followed her lead today and did the same beginners yoga which - although I couldn't do everything - felt really good. Of course, the big question is whether I can sustain this new 'me'... time will tell. The sunshine certainly helps.
