Hastings Pier

I am fascinated by the design of this building on the pier. It tricks the eye into thinking the walls go in and out, but the walls are flat, it is just the slats of wood that have been laid at an angle to create that impression. I believe the wood is actually recycled from the original pier which burnt down. It is a lovely spacious pier with lots of interesting bits and pieces. Some quite quirky. Maybe I'll blip them on another visit.
