Prost!

On Thursday we flew to Frankfurt to see our good friend Trudi who is celebrating a big Birthday. She took us to a traditional restaurant for "Apple wine" , schnitzel and frankfurter. We stayed in a quirky little hotel which externally resembled Fawlty Towers but internally was well organised and very comfortable with large rooms, each decorated in a unique way. I had not booked a hotel with air conditioning because I had not expected the 28 degree temps that we arrived to! Luckily the room had a very high ceiling and thick blinds and didn't get stuffy at all.
