Birdwatching

My brother-in-law has some very green fingers and is rapidly running out of greenhouse space! So this morning Mum and I invited ourselves over for coffee so I could take advantage of his generous offer of some veggie seedlings. A good few hours and some lunch later, we reluctantly took our leave to head over to the supermarket for petrol and other stuff.

My sister and I spent a good while looking out for some newts which had appeared in their pond, and I managed to get a single, rather blurry shot (extra). While she was still staring into the deeps, I noticed this bird (sparrow?) sitting on the fence post watching us, and I just loved the backlighting.
